Hello and welcome to our training grounds. Over the past 20+ years of selling and installing shades, shutters, and drapery, I have observed that we use certain lingo that is not commonly know to some of dealers, designers, and even customers. This page is to help teach as well as a place to visually show we are trying to convey when talking about the "pivotal alignment pin" (which is not a real thing). As new products appear we will do our best to update parts and terms.

Shutters
Shutters are extraordinary, besides their elegant look and timeless feel, they come in many differents styles that conform to almost any opening. Sliding doors, triangular or circular shade, skylights or French doors. Shutters, fit most awkward or difficult to reach areas and with the introduction of motorized Louvers, operation and versatility only got easier




French Doors: Shutters placed directly onto the door. Usually with the option of a cutout for the door handle. The cutout is either a half circle or rectangular.
